Star Alliance Bags Top Spot At Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024

Star Alliance, renowned as the world’s largest airline alliance, is committed to delivering a seamless travel experience for its passengers globally.
The newly opened Star Alliance lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, launched in October 2023, has quickly become a favorite among frequent flyers.
Star Alliance has once again been named the World’s Best Airline Alliance at this year’s prestigious Skytrax World Airline Awards.
Their new lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport also made a splash, winning the title of World’s Best Airline Alliance Lounge in its first year.
According to the official Press Release, the awards ceremony, held at the iconic Fairmont Windsor Park, UK, saw Star Alliance CEO Theo Panagiotoulias accept the honors with gratitude.
Mr. Panagiotoulias expressed his delight, stating, “The commitment and effort of every employee at Star Alliance and member airlines throughout a promising 2023 have culminated in this award. I proudly accept this honour on their behalf and commend them for their dedication. I encourage them to keep aiming for excellence this year and in the future.”

The Skytrax World Airline Awards, known as the Oscars of aviation, celebrated their 25th anniversary this year with a record 21.42 million passengers from over 100 countries participating in the survey from September 2023 to March 2024.
Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted praised Star Alliance, saying, “The latest Star Alliance lounge at Terminal 1, Paris CDG Airport has quickly established itself as a flagship facility and a customer favourite.”
In addition to these alliance awards, 16 Star Alliance member airlines, including Air India and Vistara, also received top honors across various categories like Best First Class and Business Class Catering.
