20 Minute Teriyaki Beef

A quick and easy version of beef teriyaki using ground beef that’s ready in less than 20 minutes!

ingredients
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced/grated
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced/grated
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce (gluten-free for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoon sake (optional)
  • 2 tablespoon mirin
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
directions
  1. Cook the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking the beef apart as it cooks, about 10 minutes, before draining off any excess grease.
  2. Add the garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant, about a minute.
  3. Add the mixture of the soy sauce, sake, mirin, and sugar, mix and cook until it reduces a bit, about 2 minutes.
  4. Turn off the heat, mix in the sesame oil, sesame seeds and green onions and enjoy!

Option: Add diced bell pepper.
