20 Minute Teriyaki Beef

A quick and easy version of beef teriyaki using ground beef that’s ready in less than 20 minutes!
ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced/grated
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced/grated
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce (gluten-free for gluten-free)
- 2 tablespoon sake (optional)
- 2 tablespoon mirin
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- 4 green onions, thinly sliced
directions
- Cook the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking the beef apart as it cooks, about 10 minutes, before draining off any excess grease.
- Add the garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant, about a minute.
- Add the mixture of the soy sauce, sake, mirin, and sugar, mix and cook until it reduces a bit, about 2 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, mix in the sesame oil, sesame seeds and green onions and enjoy!
